To face this challenge and provide visibility of emergency alerts from operators to fleet management, Didcom has developed a real time solution for man down and panic alerts with Bluetooth Low Energy sensors.
Drivers and workers assigned to a particular vehicle are provided with a key-sized personal (bluetooth) panic button that they can press in case an accident, injury or emergency situation takes place, either from the driver inside the cabin or from a worker outside, up to 50 meters from the vehicle.
The man-down and panic alerts events log records are obtained through Didcom BLEG and transmitted in real time via the GO device, which will send all the information to MyGeotab.
